Speech therapy in English at the DLZ Ramstein
Welcome to the English section of our practice. As an American Speech Therapy provider located in the DLZ Ramstein, we offer professional speech, language and swallowing therapy in English — for children and adults in and around the Kaiserslautern Military Community.
You are cared for by experienced, licensed therapists, and our practice is approved for TRICARE as well as all German statutory and private health insurances.
For children
We support children with speech and language development, articulation (pronunciation), stuttering, reading and writing difficulties, and hearing-related challenges — always in a warm, playful and encouraging setting that helps them enjoy communicating.
For adults
We treat adults with acquired disorders such as aphasia, dysarthria and apraxia of speech, voice disorders and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) — including rehabilitation after a stroke or with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease.

How to get started
The referral
In the German healthcare system, speech therapy is provided on a physician's prescription (a so-called Heilmittelverordnung). Your physician or your military treatment facility can issue this referral. If anything is unclear, we are glad to guide you through the process.
